I'm Melissa!

My greatest passion in life is my family.

Being a mother to my 2 energetic kids and wife to my incredible husband is a dream come true.

But sometimes my kids completely baffle me. Sometimes my husband and I simply aren’t on the same page.

Life can be beautiful and hard
at the same time.

My husband and I put in the work on how we show up for our kids and each other as a couple. We aim to be intentional around our goals and mindful of our actions. But that doesn’t mean that we nail our connections every time. Far from it!

We’ve learned a lot since we became parents in 2013. We aren’t the same people we were when those crazy people at the hospital sent us home with our first baby. And we’ve adapted quite a bit since we had the privilege of becoming parents again in 2018. Our children have taught us so much. And we are better people for the hard-learned lessons.

We revisit our plans and strategies as necessary. And we don’t shy away from the tough conversations that make this all possible. We do our best and we pride ourselves on taking a reflective approach that fits for our family.

I founded Perceptive Parents in 2011.  My vision is to help families be happier, whatever stage they are in. Life is short and our children grow in the blink of an eye. I’ve combined my Master’s degree, work experience, skills and passion into Coaching and it is a perfect fit for me!
